Fordwich members present Christmas worship service FORDWICH — The gener- al meeting of the United Church Women was held in the church basement on Thursday, December 6. Mrs. Dave Lockie and Mrs. Hart- ley Kritzer presented the worship service, theme of which • was "A New Begin- ning”, seen through the eyes of five personalities, Zacha- rias, Joseph, Elizabeth, mary and the innkeeper. Mrs. Ron Livermore provided the piano - ac- companiment for the Christmas carols. The worship centre was an open Bible, an advent wreath and a nativity scene, on a red cloth overlaid with white lace. Mrs. Elmer Harding conducted the business portion of the meeting. The UCW will sponsor Lucy D'Arcey and Bonnie D'Arcey to attend the Toc Alpha conference. The slate of officers was filled and in- stallation will take place in January. A donation is to be sent to the Christian Resource Centre at Mitchell; a box of new articles has been delivered to the, Christmas bureau and a bale of used clothes will be packed as soon as possible.
