Londesboro, on the, renewed study by Ontario Hydro on routes for new transmission lines in south- western Ontario. , There will be a panel discussion with Ken McGregor of the Ontario. Institute of . Agrologists, Dave Abott of Ontario Hydro and Tony McQuail of the Foodland Hydro Committee. The meeting 'will provide an opportunity to find out what Hydro is planning and to discuss ways of defending the prime agricultural areas of southwestern Ontario. • After four years, months o€ study, " seven weeks of hearings and a court case, Hydro is back where it started, trying to figure out 'how to transmit more power out of the Bruce Nuclear' Power Development, said Sheila Gunby of the federation's public relations committee. Hydro had developed routes and tower sites be- , tween Bruce and Essa, near Barrie, but Toronto cottage owners and local landowners derailed the process when' they took Hydro to court and won, claiming they ,had not received adequate., notice. After the court • decision, Hydro decided to study and develop routes and tower locations for one or. two lines from Bruce to London. These routes wilfthen be used at a . future hearing which will compare the Bruce-to-Essa and Bruce -to -London propos- als and decide which lines should be built. RC Board • increases rates The Huron -Perth Roman Catholic Separate School Board has upped the rate it charges to non-Catholics attending its schools. At its recent meeting, the board increased, the fee from $150 a year per family to $225 a year per family, effective Sept. 1, 1985. The rate will increase to $300 a year per family in Sept. of 1986. If non-Catholics wish to attend a Catholic school, they pay this fee' while their property taxes continue to go to the public school board.
