Hensall she met with an unfortunate
accident. ;While opposite Wm. Sla-
vin's her horse became scared at an
automobile and it ran away upset-
ting a dan of ,cream and: smashing
the buggy. The horse got away but
fortunately Miss Austin was not hurt
very' badly.
Miss Mabel Purdy is ill with scar-
let fever.
Mr. A�,ehie Hogarth's sale was
well atte\.., ded last Friday. The cat-
tle sold very well but the farm was

The S.S. anniversary services Sun-
day morning were well. attended,
Rev: W. E. Donnelly, of Exeter,.
preached a ' very excellent sermon
that was helpful and inspiring. In'
the evening the ,pastor, Rev. W. M.
Kiteley conducted a most interesting
service.
On Thursday evening the 'Sunday
School will hold a Christmas tree to-
gether with a fine program. Admis-
sion 25c and 15e. Everybody wel-
come.

The W.M. S. of our church held
their Christmas at the home.

day -evening last. After the regular
business part, it, being the tax sea-
son, the
eason,:the members placed 'a tax of 7'c
for each foot and 2c. for each addit-
ional inch on thelteighth of each one
present. Rev. Livingstone • did the
measuring. So.iue :$10 or $11 was
collected by the tax. A very pleas-
ant, tithe was spent during the even-
ing.
Next Sunday the Sunday School`
will hold their Christmas' service at
3:30 p.m. °After 'a song service of
some 15 or 20 minutes a little time
will be for the lesson, and at 4:15
the Pastor will give his address in
keeping with the Season. A collect-
ion will bo taken in aid of Sick
Children& Hospital, London. Theme
will be no service in the evening.

ted at the Evan, church, Crediton;
came to a triumphant close on Sun-
day evening, Dec. 16th. The results

pastor, evangelist and congregation.
The greatest number of` decisions
made for Christ at one meeting were

the alter of prayer. The service on
Sunday evening Dec. 16th, was the
climatic one: It was a regular jubil-
ee service. Thirty-four persons were
received on profession of faith and
three by membership certificate. The
attendance and interest throughout`
the campaign regardless of some in-
clement weather was perfect,, Rev.
F. F. Gordon is a peerless evangelist
and preacher. His messages are
