Ile was the dear infant son of.Steve Donaldson and his wife Mary, a member of the lab staff at Wingham and District Hospital. Also. surviving are one brother Curtis and his grand- parents, Bill and Shirley Gilbert of Kitchener amd_ Sandy and Peg Mac- Charles, Ripley. Funeral service was held Friday at the MacPherson Funeral Chapel, Teeswater, with interment following in former resident of Ashfield dies at Hunnetiv A former resident of Ash- field Township, Mrs. Della Irene Nixon, passed away suddenly as a result of a stroke at Huronview, Clinton, on Saturday, August 18. She was in her 75th year. Mrs. Nixon was the former Della Plowman and was born at St. Augustine on. March 26, 1910. She was a daughter of the late James Plowman and Elizabeth Ellen (Eliza) Nixon. Her husband, Isaac Nixon, with whom she farmed on Lot 10, concession 11, of Ashfield for many years, predeceased her on December 1, 1983. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in September of this year. Mrs. Nixon is survived by five sons, John of Belgrave, Carman of . London, Ralph, Wingham, Wayne, Ripley, and Delbert, Lucknow; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. There are three sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Fern) Howatt of Westfield, Mrs. Orville (Mildred) Welsh off Wingham and ,Mrs. Edna Ruddell of Sault Ste. Marie; and one brother, Earl Plowman of Collingwood. Friends paid their respects at the MacKenzie and. Mc- Creath, Funeral, Home, •Lucknow, until ; Monday, August 20, when funeral service was conducted at two o'clock by Rev. Paul Mills of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham. Mrs. Nixon was' carried to her final resting place in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow, by Doug Hackett, Chester Hackett, D. A. The former Bernice Lockridge, she was the beloved wife of Stanley Campbell; dear mother of Jim Campbell of Cambridge (G) and Dotag Campbell of Waterloo; sister of Mrs. Hazel Turner of Puslinch, Mrs. Grace Goudy of Toronto and Mrs. Margaret! Krupp, Hamilton Also surviving are four grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Erlma Fuller. Funeral service was held at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, today (Wednesday) at two o'clock, Rev. Paul L. Mills officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery. SMITH -Passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on July 25, Gordon Ed- mund Smith of London,. formerly of Wingham, in his 72nd year. He was the beloved husband of the former Edith McDowell; dear father of Mrs. Marvin (Barbara) Vogl-Liley, Mrs. John (Norma) Mc- Dowell, both of London, and Douglas C. Smith, RR 3, Blyth; brother of Mrs. Lloyd (Laura) Hayden of Waterloo. He is also survived by seven grand- children. Funeral service was held Saturday, July 28, at The James A. Harris Funeral Home, London. Interment took place later that day in , Wingham Cemetery. CHITTICK-Passed away at his home in Brantford on Monday. August 20, Robert Chittick, beloved son of the late Samuel and Christina Chittick, in his 60th year. Left to mourn are Marge and her family, one sister, Mrs. Ray (Donna) Eaton. of Elinira, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Best wishes only please. 22,29 Wingham family mourns death of Ann O'Connor The Henderson family of Wingham is this week mourning the death of a family member, Mrs. Bertha Ann O'Connor, which took place suddenly on Friday, August 24, at her home, 470 Roncesvalles Ave., Toronto. She was 34 years of age. The former Ann Hen- derson was born in Wingham on September 2, 1950, the daughter of William Hen- derson of Wingham and the late Bertha McGee Hen- derson. She was educated in Wingham schools and was a . member of the Wingham Salvation Army Corps. Besides her father, Ann is survived by her 'husband, Michael. O'Connor of Toronto, whom she married on March 17 of this year; her son, Michael McCullough of Beachville; and five sisters and brothers, Iona Jean French of London, Donald Henderson of Toronto, Jim Henderson of Mitchell, William Henderson and Mrs. Andrew (Janette) Rodger, both of Wingham. Prede- ceased, besides her mother, are one son; Christopher Mc- Cullough, and one brother, Jack Henderson. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday at two o'clock at . The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, by Captain Borden Linkletter of the Salvation Arany. ' Mrs. Amelia Brown dies in 101st year Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Amelia Lucretia Brown of Belgrave passed away Monday, August 20, at Wingham and District Hospital. She was in her 101st year. The former Amelia Whitfield, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Teasdale Whitfield and his wife, the former Ruth Amelia Speiran. She was born in Grey Township on June, 14, 1884. She received her elementary school education at SS No. 8, Grey Township, and in her early adult life, she worked_ as a dressmaker. On December 2, 1908, she married Angus D. Brown at her parents' home, Maple Shade Farm, and they farmed most of their lives on the 14th of Grey Township. He predeceased her in 1954 a®► Business and Professional Directory Carol E. Mrs. Brown was a member of Knox United Church, Belgrave, and during her active years was very much involved in the work of the church and the Women's Institute. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bert (Ruth) Johnston of Belgrave, and one grand- daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Thompson of Goderich. She was the eldest member of her :family, having been predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Friends paid their respects at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, until Wednesday, August 22, when Rev. J. Rea Grant of Wingham United Church conducted funeral serviCe at 3:30. Mrs. Brown's final resting place is Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Watson of Blyth, Edgar Wightman of Belgrave, Herman Whitfield, Elston Speiran and Alvin McDonald, all of Brussels, and Paul Somers, Blyth. Flower bearers were Lewis Stonehouse of Belgrave, Karl Whitfield, Blyth, and Danny Thompson, Goderich. The men, women and young people who are the volunteer members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade are thoroughly trained in First Aid, and must requal- ify every year.
