flickered in candelabra and
white and pink gladioli and
daisies surrounded the altar
where Rev. J. Rea Grant
performed the ceremony.
Janet is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wood,
Wingham, and her groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Gudwer, Prince
George, British Columbia.
• Hap Swatridge provided
music at the console of the
church organ and soloist was
• Miss Sandra Harris. A guitar
prelude preceded the
ceremony and special music

Janet's gown was floor -
length white polyester styled
with sheer skirt with chapel
train edged with a wide frill
gathered into two scallops at
the hemline with lace in-
serts. The fitted bodice of
fine lace had long sleeves
and sweetheart neckline
edged with a fine sheer frill.
A tulle garland trimmed
with pearls and stephanotis
with a bow at the back, fell
into a shoulder -length veil
and she carried a cascade of
pink gladioli, white
stephanotis and trailing ivy.
Her matron of honor, Mrs.
Joanne Anderson of Scar-
borough, wore a soft pink
sundress of polyester sheer
over taffeta with tuxedo
jacket and three -layer collar
trimmed with a fine edging
of satin ribbon. She carried a
nosegay of daisies, fresia
and gladioli in shades of
mauve and purple.
In a similar •gown and
carrying similar flowers was
the bridesmaid, Miss Karen
Wood of Wingham.

the groom; of Banff was

groomsman and ushers were
Angus Cockney, friend of the
groom, of Banff and Douglas
Wood of Wingham.
The pink and white theme
continued for the reception
which was held at the
Teeswater-Culross Com-
munity Centre. Opt -of -town
guests came from Prince
George,, Banff and Calgary
in the West, London,
Toronto, Ottawa,,Kitchener,
Exeter, Simcoe, Sarnia, St.
Marys and Seaforth:
The bride's mother wore a
street -length, chemise -style
dress of pearl grey chiffon
with matching accessories
and a pink rosebud corsage.
The groom's mother chose a
street -length blue -grey dress
with mauve, yellow and pink
pastel figures. Her ac-
cessories were white and she
wore a pink rosebud corsage.
For travelling, the bride
wore a taupe and cream two-
piece silk and wool strolling
suit with cream silk blouse,
taupe accessories and a pink
rosebud corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Gudwer are
residing in Calgary, Alberta.
Janet earned her Bachelor of
Physiotherapy degree from
Western University.

his 90th birthday

Gibson celebrated his 90th
birthday Sunday at his home
with family and friends.
Family . members at-
tending were: Mr. and MrS.
Harry Refell, London; Mrs.
Bonnie MacDougall,
Burlington; M. and Mrs.
Crawford Gibson, Barrie;
and Mr. and Mrs. Gary
Gibson of Oshawa. Many of
his grandchildren and great-
grandchildren also ' were in
attendance.
Relatives and friends from
Sarnia, Oshawa, Kitchener,
Parkhill, Barrie, Burlington,
London, Windsor, •Talbot-
ville, Harrison, Fordwich,
Gorrie and Wrozeter also
were present.
Mr. Gibson received
greetings from Governor
General Sauve, MPP Mur-
' ray Elston and Lieutenant
Governor John Aird of On-
tario.
Mr Gibson lives alone
although he often ul'visited
by family members on
weekends. His appearance
and activities belie his age
by at least 10 years. He
enjoys his daily walk to the
post office and chatting with
friends and neighbors.
Mr. Gibson is a member of
th4 Gorrie Presbyterian
Church, the Howick Lions.
and the Mason. The citizens
of Wroxeter extend best
wishes to Mr. Gibson for
many more healthful and
happy Years.

people. The honeymoon was
