Mr. L. Day, who has been serious-
ly ill with pneumonia, is slowly int -
proving.
Mr. Frank Bpyle and son, Clarence
and Mr. Silas Reed spent Sunday in
London.
Miss Flossie,Ford of London, spent
the week -end with her parents in Ex-
eter, North.

At the annual meeting of the Main
St. Sunday school Mr. B. W. F. Bea-
vers was re-elected Superintendent
and all of the olcl officers and teach-
ers were also re-elected. The school
has had' a good year. The finances
show a balance in the treasury.
$62.40 were raised for Missions.
The Exeter District Meetingof the
Methodist church will be held at
Centralia on Friday of this week.
Tlte-,,laydelegates from Exeter will
be Rd, Hunter, of Main St church
and W. S. Cole, of James St. There
will be a big move among the min-
isters on the district this year. Of
the thirteen circuits nine or ten are
expecting a change. The c:iairnian
is Rev. G. W. Rivers, of Hensall.

the, funeral of the late Norman Lloyd'
on Sunday.

after spending his holidays at his:

James Fox, one of the oldest resi-
dents of the district, passed away at,
his home, in Seaforth, on Friday,
May 4th, in his 80th year. Mr. Fox
had been in poor health for over.
three years, and had been confined
to his home for many months. The
deceased was born on a farm on the
Huron Rodd, near, St. Colurnban,
where he continued to reside until a-
bout fourteen years ago, when he
moved to Seaforth. "He was unmar-
ried, and was the last of a family of
seven brothers, but is survived by
one sister, Miss Annie Fox.
