The finances show a balance in the treasury. $62.40 were raised for Missions. The Exeter District Meetingof the Methodist church will be held at Centralia on Friday of this week. Beer Elliott & Johns James Fox, one of the oldest resi- dents of the district, passed away at, his home, in Seaforth, on Friday, May 4th, in his 80th year. Mr. Fox had been in poor health for over. three years, and had been confined to his home for many months. The deceased was born on a farm on the Huron Rodd, near, St. Colurnban, where he continued to reside until a- bout fourteen years ago, when he moved to Seaforth. "He was unmar- ried, and was the last of a family of seven brothers, but is survived by one sister, Miss Annie Fox.
