And so all parents take my advice, don't spend your money so carelessly, for after Christmas you'll pay the price. Don't forget to think twice. Kim Langlois, Grade 8 St. Mary's APPEAL TO PARENTS Dear Folks, As you all know prices have gone- skyhigh. So this forces me to limit presents to 2 per person. I know it will be hard for your children to un- derstand. Please try to explain the way things are. I hope they won't give you a hard time about it. Thanks a million! Santa Claus. Santa's finances are low I am Santa and my finacial situation is very bad this year. I've got reindeers to feed and bills to pay. I just barely got by by the skin on my teeth last year. I am still paying for last years Christmas. So heres my • plan. I'll supply all of my elves with machine guns and we'll crash the town of , Goderich. And Rob every store in town. I'll even take little for next year. Well that solves my finacial problems for this year wait til you hear my idia next year. Joan Hendriks Grade 8 St. Mary's CHRISTMAS IS... Christmas is a husband that spends all of his money on the kids and finding out on Christmas Eve that he has no present for his wife. Christmas is having a list of presents and have half of it bought and going to the bank and finding out your in debt 200 dollars. Christmas is buying a Christmas tree a month earlier and putting the presents under it and by the time it's Christmas the presents are buried in needles: Christmas is buying all the mechanical toys the kids want and ' on Christmas day they all don't work. Christmas is buying your husband a shaver that cuts to close. Christmas is serving your guests roasted -chestnuts and finding out there is something living in one. Christmas is buying your wife shampoo and finding out its "neat".
