T'was the night before
Christmas when all
through the van. Not a
creature was stirring not
even a man. And Mrs.
mouse kerchief and I in
my cap had just settled
down for a long winters
nap. When down by the
weels there rose such a
clatter I sprang for my
matchbox to see what's
the matter.

CHRISTMAS
Most children in all
North America believe in
Santa Claus. They also
believe it's a time for
opening preasants, but it
isn't.
Hear a little story about
a family years ago
having their Christmas.
A family was eating
there Christmas dinner
when their son said, "Can
we open our preasants
now?"
His father answered
sadly, "No preasants this
year. I'll read a story
instead with the true
meaning of Christmas.
O.K."
When his father was
finish, his son said, "I
don't get it."
"Well it means that at
Chirstmas time you
remember that Chirst
was born. Not to open
preasants."

WHAT WOULD
IDO
What would I do if I
were Santa and had to
deal with inflation?
I. would send one ofmy
elves to all the stores that
had • summer end sales,
I'd fix up old toys, make
new toys out of old ones
that are too badly
damaged and go to
rummage sales.
Then hopefully I would
KNOWING JESUS
Jane and Sandy are
babysitting for Mrs.
Ketcham. Sandy was
kitting.
Jane said, "I can't wait
for Christmas and get
gifts."
Sandy replied, "I can't
wait until Chistmas to
remember Jesus' bir-
thday.
Jane laughed, "Ha!
Ha! Is that all? How do
we know that God is
real?"
Sandy said, "Do you
have a Bible?"
Jane said, "No but who
cares."
-Sandy replied, "Here
have mine and read Luke
2." -
• Next Sunday Sandy
saw Jane in church. Jane
came over.
"Man! I didn't know
that much," Jane ex-
claimed.
Sandy said, "What did
you read?" Jane said, "I
read that Jesus came and
died for our sins. Well
bye."
Sandy felt real good
and went home.

CHRISTMAS EVE
T'was the night befor
Christmas, •' and all
through the house, -not a
creature was stirring not
even a mouse. When
suddly I heard a large
thump! I ran down the
stairs and peaked
through the door. There
stood a man with a belly
like jelly. He was short
and fat and wore a red
and white suit. He dug
into his bag and pulled
out many different
shapes and sizes of boxes.
He climbed up the
chimney and on to the
roof where his reindeer
and sleigh were waiting.
He jumped into the sleigh
and took off- into -the sky
shouting, "Merry
Christmass to all and to
all a good night.
