alone and had arrived the

"Do you want to wash
or dry?" asked Carla's
aunt Jane.
"Oh, I'll dry", said
Carla after a moments
thought, "That won't take
so long!"
They finished the
dishes quickly and Carla
glanced at the clock. It
said 5 to ten for they had
had a late breakfast.
"Lets go outside!"
suggested Carla to her
twelve year old cousin
Ian, "I can hardly wait to
open my presents tom -
morrow morning!"
Ian stopped and said
"We don't open our gifts
in the morning! We go to
church first, then we all
go home for Sunday
dinner! Then in the af-
ternoon we all go
tobogganing or , skiing,
then supper! And after
supper we open our
gifts!"
"Wow!" exclaimed
Carla in amazement, "I
always get twenty-five
dollars to spend in
anyway I want but this
sounds like a lot more
fun!"
Silently they both went
in to make popcorn.
"Wake up!, Wake up!"
Jan was trying to shake
Carla out of her sleep.
"I'm awake!" murmured
Carla.
"It's Christmas!"
shouted Tan.
Carla sat up with '` a
start. "What are we
waiting for?"
They quickly dressed
and went downstairs for
breakfast
At church the pastor
told the Christmas story
about Jesus birth in, a
stable in a town called
Bethleham, After singing
the final hymn they
started home in her
uncles old car. Carla
asked her Uncle about
Jesus and her uncle
explained about Jesus life
and death on the cross for
the whole worlds sins.
Carla went home happy
and with a picture of
Jesus in her heart. She
told her mother about
him and now Carla and
her mother are both
devoted Christians.
