Wants cuddly friend
.•
The one gift I want for
Christmas is an adorable,
perky puppy and what
would be better than this
'soft, cuddly friend?
A puppy has many
advantages as a friend.
Many fun -filled hours are
spent with him in most
kinds of situations.
Awaiting you at the door
after At hard day at school
he with his tail wagging
anxiously beckoning you
for a few hours of play. he
'would be the one most
likely to cheer you. He
seldom complains and
listens to you longer than
other people will. The
occasional fighting and
barking he makes are all
in the line of his duty to
protect your property.
Most other problems can
be handled with some
training and obedience.
these sacrifices that a
person makes form the
basis of a warm frien-
dship.
From having a puppy a
lot of knowledge is gained
and the reward is great.
Just like a real friend
when you are injured or
hurt he trys to help you to
the best of his ability. He
is always there when he is
needed and his main goal
is to please his master.
Since Christmas is a
time of sharing love the
gift of a puppy would
bring many pleasant
memories.

• BUY RIGHT
I think some people get
carried away in the
Christmas spirit by
buying gifts for every
Toni, Dick and Harry
that come into their life
once or twice a year.
Afteral I, it's nice to buy
a gift for Aunt Betty or
Uncle Benny, but buying
a gift for the lady next
door or the dog catcher
that caught your lost dog
and gave it back to you
after you gave him
e twenty dollars is simply
ridiculous.
I say, no way, afterall 1
am sure you have a
special friend and many
close relatives to buy for.
So if you want to show
appreciation to someone
.send a card with a little
money or without, I am
sure who ever you are
sending to are just as
happy with that than a
gift from someone they
can't remember ever
meeting.

Christmas trees shining -
all bright and gay.
Tell us that Christmas is
not far away
Trimmed by many loving,
hands
With angels and with
popcorn strands.
Bell of red and green and
blue „
With tinsel and with
bright lights, too.
How could Christmas
ever be
Without a decorated tree.

THAT'S THE ONE
THAT,I WANT
One gift is all I could
get for Christmas. I had
to know what one gift I
wanted.
I didn't really want a
dog or cat because I
•already have a couple. A
car would have been nice,
but I don't have my
license. I had enough
clothes and too many
plants. A trip to Florida
would have been great,
but I'd like to keep my
'money in Canada. As I
kept thinking, it hit me
square on the head. A trip
to Toronto to see the
Maple Leafs play was the
thing.
I have • already gone
once, and I really enjoyed
it. My money would stay
in Canada and I would get
to see my favourite sport
played by the pros.
