WHAT IS
CHRISTMAS.
Christmas is Jesus,
Sleeping in the manger,
Greeting every one,
Even the stranger.
The star that shone,
Over the stable,
In Bethelhem
Guided every one.

give them to the Rom-
pfs.,, „Ok„
So we went to their
house and switched. We
found we had very nice
presents but I don't think
it would happen Santa is
too smart.

CHRISTMAS
Every year on
December 25 we
celebrate Christmas. On
this day we get presents
and have a lot of fun, but
this isn't the true
meaning of Christmas.
The true meaning is that
about 2000 years ago our
Saviour, Jesus Christ was
born. This is the story of
Jesus' birth ° •
One day Mary was in
her house in Nazareth
when an angel came to
her. The angel told her
that she would give birth
to Jesus who is the Son of
God: A bit later Mary
married a man named
Joseph. After awhile
Joseph started to think
about the prophets in the
Old Testament saying
that the Son of God would
be born in Bethlehem. He
was wondering if Mary
and he should go to
Bethlehem, but only God
knew what would happen.
Sometime later Caeset•
Agustus was going to tax
the people and everyone
to his own city. Joseph
had •, come from
Bethlehem so Mary and
he started out. Mary rode
on a mule while Joseph
walked beside it. When
they came to Bethlehem
and all the hotels were
full, but the last full one
they came to the owner
said that they could sleep
in his stable. That night
Jesus was born. A little
later they got a house and
lived in. Bethlehem. And
that is the story of Jesus'
birth.
The way people should
celebrate Christmas is go
to the church in the
morning. you can give
presents, because there is
nothing wrong with that,.
but that is not the true
meaning of Christmas.

CHRISTMAS 79
To be honest, 1 have not
had a sad or a funny
Christmas. I have always
been happy at Christmas.
I am mostly happy
because God loved us so
much that he sent us his
Son.
God looked after his
Son and didn't let him get
hurt. God sent his Son to
die on the cross to take
away our sins.
Christmas -is Jesus'
birthday and we
celebrate it by giving
gifts and cards to friends
and relatives.
