hurt but we didn't go in.
The we all decided after
This Christmas mom
said that everyone could
choose only one present.
Everyone chose a present
except myself. I just
didn't know what
wanted, no matter how
much I thought.
.First I wanted a record
player, but•what was the
use when we already had
a big stereo already, and
that \ would only be
wasting more money.
So that night I stayed
up and thought about a
present. What could I
have that's useful? A
thought struck me and I
knew what I was going to
have.
Thenext morning I got
up and told my mom what
1 would like. I thought of a
Christmas present justin
time because Christmas
was one day away.
It seemed to me about
hours and hours till\
morning,. until I saw a
little streak of light. It
was about 6 o'clock.
I ran out of my rOortv
excitedly and started to
shout "Merry Christ-
mas''. Everyone woke
We all went to the
Christmas tree.
Everyone , opened their
presents to see what it
looked like. I was the last
to open up mine.
When I did, there sat
the cutest' little puppy.
Since oUr.dog had died, I
asked for a puppy.
This puppy was going
to he for the whole
family.

THE FUNNIEST
CHRISTMAS
The funniest Christmas
I have ever had was at
the Community. I -fall St.'
Jacobs Dec. 25, 1978.
. Well, I was down in St.
Jacob's at the hall where
there was a big ice -patch..,
My 2 brothers, my sister,
and cousin's went. out to
the ice. One of my cousins
hit her, head on the ice.
She started to cry but she
didn't go in.
We all stayed out. We
put snow on the ice it was
a lot of fun. Most of us got
awhile to go in.
There was sense of
everyone getting hurt.
Was There?

CHRISTMAS DAY
One nighf there was a
man named Joseph and
his wife Mary riding on a
donkey.
In the morning Mary
brought forth her fir-
stborn Son and wrapped
Him in swaddling cloths
and laid Him in a
manger, because there
was no place for them in
the inn.
• And in that region there
were shepherds'out in the
field keeping watch over .
their flock by night. That'
night an angel came to
the shepherds and said
there is a babe borned in
Bethlehem the King of
the •Jews. When the
shepherds heard this they
were amazed and got up
and went to Bethlehem,
when they got there they
bowed down and wor-
shipped Him.
There were wise men in
the east and came to see
where the babe was. That
night they came to
Jerusalem, there was a
King there and his'name
was Herod when He
heard the good news he
said tothe wise men
"when you see the baby
could you poreback to me
so that I may worhip him
too.
Then the wise men
went on and saw a star in
the sky and followed
where the baby was.
The wise men gave
Him myrrh, frankinense
and gold, but told the wise
men in a dream not to go
the same way they came
from because king Herod
wanted to kill him.
So the wise men went
home a different way.
