Then add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate k until required. 3 small lemon gelatins 3 cups hot water (let cool) Mix in: 1 lb. cottage cheese 1/2 pint whipping cream (whipped) 1 cup salad dressing 3 onions (cut fine) 3 onions 1/2 cup celery 1/2 cup green pepper Put in refrigerator to set. Great with turkey. G. Hoelscher Goderlch Ripley Huron Legion Auxiliary PINEAPPLE SALAD 1 package lime flavored gelatin powder ' 1 package raspberry flavored gelatin powder W, 1 package lemon flavored gelatin powder 1 can crushed pineapple w 1 small package Philadelphia cream cheese First Layer: Add pineapple juice to lime jell -o and decrease vi water accordingly. Second Layer: Add the package of cream cheese (make sure it is fairly warm) and lemon jell -o. ( Third Layer: Add crushed pineapple to raspberry jell -o. Allow each layer to cool before adding another. Jay Carter Clinton LIME JELLO SALAD Dissolve 1 3 oz. lime flavored gelatin powder in one cup boiling water. Add: 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/ cup cold water, 1 tbsp. white vinegar and 1/2 cup salad dressing. Beat well and chill till partly set. Fold in 1 Tbls. chopped onion, 1-3 cup chopped celery, 2-3 cup grated carrot, 1/2 cup grated cabbage. This is lovely to look at and eat anytime, not only for Christmas. For the party Snicks that really smack BAKED CARAMEL CORN 1 cup butter or margarine 2 cups packed brown. sugar 1/2 cup corn syrup 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 6 qts. popped popcorn Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil stirring constantly.' Boil —without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in soda, vanilla: Gradually pour over popped corn mixing well. Turn into 2 large shallow pans. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely. Store in• tightly covered container. - By Marjorie Duizer, Londesboro. ANTIPASTO DIP 2tins tuna 1 - 15 oz. jar sweet mixed pickles 1 bottle chili sauce 1/2 of an 11 oz. bottle of ketchup 1 small jar olives 1 small jar pickled onions 1 can chopped mushrooms 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1 tablespoon lemon juice 5-6 drops of Tabasco sauce 1 can small or'broken shrimp. Rinse tuna in cold water and flake. Cut pickles, mushrooms, olives and onions. Add to tuna. Add all other ingredients and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Cover and leave to blend flavours at least two days in refrigerator. Serve with crackers. Will keep one month in refrigerator. Leanne Theule Goderich, Ont. TRIED AND TRUE PUNCH 2 cups pineapple juice\ 2 cups orange juice 3/4 cup lemon juice 1 cup water 2 cups granulated sugar 4 qts. of gingerale Boil sugar and -water three minutes. Cool. Add fresh juices and enough water to make 4 qts. of• liquid. Chill and add gingerale a short time before serving. Mrs. Ruth Brock RR4 Goderlch HOT CRAB DIP 1 - 8 oz. package cream cheese 1 tablespoon milk 1 can crabmeat 2 tablespoons chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon horseradish 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper Cream all ingredients together. Bake in small casserole at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Pass with crackers. Leanne Theule Goderich, Ont. PUNCH 1 - 12 oz. can frozen orange juice 1 - 12 oz. can frozen pink lemonade Mix according to instructions on can Add 1 can - 48 oz. grapefruit -pineapple juice and 1 bottle ginerale Garnish with cherries, orange slices, lemon slices. Note: Drink as a fruit punch or add gin or vodka as desired.
