The key to the game seemed to be the unbelievable shooting of Greg Beacom, who scored 30,points. The success of Beacom's inspired playing has been credited to a three week vacation in Florida where he toured many of the U.S. hot spots of Basketball. The win for Goderich was personally satisfying for Jeff Baechler in that it is his uncle, Bruce Baechler who sponsors the team from Port Elgin. Offensively, Goderich also had strong .per- formances by Warren Watt and Jeff Baechler with 15 and 13 points respectively. Greg Smith was able to come up with 12 points. The win leaves Goderich and Port Elgin tied for first place, which will -be determined this Friday, Dec. 21 when Goderich will host Port Elgin. Game time has been scheduled for 8 p..m.
