Bowling League. They
defeated the Gutter Kings
and took seven points to
,put them in the lead.
The Duffers finished in
league
second place by over-
powering Bob's Angels
andgetting seven points.
The DJ's ended up in
third place, taking five
points from Lucky Six.
The BB's and
President's Choice tied
for fourth place. The Bad
Ones took five points
from the BB's.
President's Choice
captured five ppints from
George's Gophers.
The Goderich Lions
Pee Wees won two games
on the weekend,
defeating Mitchell, 4 - 1,
in a WOAA league game
Saturday, and blasting
St. Marys, 7 - 1, in an
exhibition game Sunday.
Both games were played

District Community
Centre.
The victory over
Mitchell boosts the Lions'
league record to nine
wins and two losses.
Mitchell jumped in front
with a goal by Brad Pauli
in the first period, but
Shawn Rahbek got that
one back with a hard
blast from the point two
minutes later. Robin
Moore scored what
proved to be the winning
goal before the end of the
periocj, combining on a
passing play with Todd
Jeffrey.
Trevor Erb scored a
pair of goals in the second
period, one unassisted,
and the other on a pags
from Shawn Rahbek, to
give the Lions their three -
goal margin of victory,
The Lions played
perhaps their strongest
game of the season
against St. Marys,
showing a well-balanced
passing attack and
aggressive defensive
game.
Brent Williamson led
the Lions offensively witji
two goals and an assist.
Grant Garrow, Todd
Graham and Mike Collins
all had one goal and one
assist. Trevor Erb and
Peter Conlon each had a
single counter. Ken Huff
and Scott Stokes had one
ibstst each. 'loin 1eaii,:11
had the lone St, Marys'
goal.
The defensive pairs of
Shawn Rahbek and Scott
Stokes and Trevor Martin
and Todd Jeffrey had
strong games for the
Lions and ,Teff Scott -was
steady in the Goderich
goal.
he Lions played a
return engagement in
Mitchell Tuesday night
and take on Clinton here
-Saturday, at 5:30 p.m. in
another league game.
'On Boxing Day, the
Lions will be playing in
the Kincardine Winter
QaFnes Tournament, with
their first game against
Hanover at 8 a.m.
Sr. Vikes lose pair to London

The GDCI senior
Vikings boys' basketball
team lost a pair of
exhibition games in
London last Thursday.
London Central, the
number one ranked team
in the city, defeated the
Vikings 54 14 and
Laurier hung a 65 - 45 loss
on the Vikes in the second
game.
Against Central, the
Vikings led through most
of the first quarter but
fell behind by a 25 - 17
score by half-time. The
"AAA" - rated London
team padded their lead in
the second half to win by
2Q points.
Phil Aubin was the only
Viking to hit double
figures. He had 17 points.
Doug Cruickshank added
five points and Dennis
Donnelly had four. Andy
Moore, Ted Doherty, Jim
Costello and Mike
Murphy each had two
points for Goderich.
The Vikings found
themselves down by 24
points before they scored
against Laurier. Fighting
a height disadvantage, as
they were all day, the
Vikes came back to win
the second half but still
lost by 20 points.
Dennis Donnelly had 12
points for the Vikings.
Jim Costello had nine,
Mark Alexander eight,
Andy Moore seven, Ted
Doherty six, Phil Aubin
two •points and Dan
Freeman one point for
the losing Vikings.
Coach Phil Bugler's
Vikings now have an
overall record of five
wins and three losses.
They are 2 - 0 in league
games and playtheir
next league gamtoday
(Thursday) in
Palmerston against the
Norwell Redmen.
