Activity remained
fairly normal at the
Goderich Municipal
Airport during the month
of November despite poor
weather conditions and
the ever increasing fuel
costs, Ed Scruton, airport
co-ordinator, reported to
the airport committee
when it met on December
12.
Scruton went on the
report 'that freezing rain
and light snow had
necessitated some snow
plowing, sanding and
sweeping throughout the
month. He said that
regular maintenance
proceedures had been
carried out, regarding
buildings and runway
lighting including
replacing the rotating

be almost square.
Plans are to use
existing panelling over
again on one wall, and to
paint the other walls to
match. The major ex-
pense will be carpeting
throughout. Work will be
done by the hospital's
own maintenance staff.
Dr. James Rourke
asked that the customary
practice of getting costs
for the work and
presenting same to the
board, by honored.
However the board
voted to proceed without
getting an estimate on
costs since members had
been assured it would
entail only minimal
expense.
One board member,
Mrs. Isobel Sully, said
she was more worried
about the appearance of
the room than she was
about the cost.

"Some aircraft have
been moved to different
locations at the airport to
allow more room for
snow removal operations.
We presently have 33
air -craft based here --for
the winter with space for
seven more," Scruton
reported.
He said that the area
where the Lancaster had
been parked had been
cleaned of debris and the
concrete pad swept.
The airport committee
adopted the co-
ordinator's report for the
month of November.
The committee then
adopted new fuel rates
plus 18 cents Federal
Excise Tax. The new
rates are 80-87--$1.41 per
gallon; 100-130--$1.46 per
gallon ; and Turbo Al --
$1.31 per gallon.
The committee passed
a motion that a sub-
committee comprised of
Dick Wright, Councillor
Brian Knights, Chairman
Don Wheeler and Chuck
Reid be appointed to
prepare a draft budget to
bring to the airport
committee at 'their next
meeting on January 16. A
quotation from Rathwell,

Equipment Contractors
for a fuel storage tank is
to be referred to this sub-
committee for con-
sideration in the 1980
budget also. The sub-
committee is to study the
feasibility of installing a
fuel storage tank.
The committee passed
a motion to have town
solicitor, Dan Murphy,
check the airport deeds to
see what easements and
tree cutting rights should
have been transferred to
the town. If all the
easements and rights
have not been tran-
sferred, Mr. Murphy is to
see that they are.
The committee had a
short discussion on the
advisibility of allowing
severances adjacent to

committee was that it
