This service is available at the Suncoast Mall for a minimum charge of 50 cents this Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2 until 9 p.m. All proceeds will go towards the children's wing at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. So do yourself and the kids both a favor by using the service. +++ Ken Sowerby and Don McKenzie will split $500 this week after winning the Ron Feagan Memorial Grandstand lottery with lucky ticket number 511. +++ Ray Garon of Clinton won the Junior "C" Mustangs 300 Booster draw on December 15. She was also a member of Bluewater Chapter No. 284; the Order of the Eastern Star and the Goderich Rebekah Lodge No. 89. ' She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Eleanor) Wolfe, Barrie, and Mrs. Donald (Elisabeth) Woodrow, Scarborough.. There are five grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Cal (Mildred) Rea, Toronto, and Mrs. Clyde (Evelyn) Carter, London. MRS. JAMES HOWARD GALPIN James Howard Galpin of Palmerston Town Manor Nursing Home died in that nursing home on Monday, December 17 at the age of 87, He was born in.Stanley Township on November 30, 1892 to Henry and Elizabeth (Nineham) Galpin. He farmed in Goderich Township. He was predeceased by seven sisters and one brother. He is several nephews. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Wednesday, December 19 at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Ronald C. McCallum officiated. There will be no receipt, dispatch or delivery of mail on those days, says Postmaster, Mel Farnsworth. And while speaking of the post office, it is also a good time to mention that customers should" keep their premises free of hazards to prevent letter carriers from injuring themselves. Every winter letter carriers are injured, some of them seriously, by slips and falls. The best way to avoid these accidents is to eliminate slippery surfaces around your home. Please keep your walk, steps and porch free of snow and ice --use a non- skid paint next time your steps need touching up -- and if you really want to roll out the carpet, make it non -slip. ..Tid Your letter carrier thanks you and so will others who visit your home. Congratulations to Donald Coughlan, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.K. Coughlan of Goderich. Donald was awarded a Carter Scholarship this week. Carter Scholar- Bits...Tid ships, established by J.I. Carter of Sarnia, are awarded to outstanding students in the province of Ontario. To qualify, students must have studied six credits in Grade 13, including one English and one math. Donald, who is presently studying ap- plied science. at Queen's University in Kingston, graduated as an Ontario d" Bits... Scholar from G.D.C.I. this year. He also received the Robert MacKay award for the highest average in Grade 13--94 per cent.
