The game against Wingham was played here Saturday while the loss to the Beavers came in Seaforth Sunday afternoon. - The Diens reeard--i-n league play is now •eight wins and two losses. Against Wingham, the Lions showed good hustle and moved the puck well. Todd Graham had three goals and an assist to lead the Lions' attack. Rob Gibbons scored twice and assisted on another. Grant Garrow and Ken Huff each had a goal and an assist. Brent' Williamson scored the other Goderich goal, Trevor Martin had two assists and Trevor Erb one. Dwayne Jenkins scored the lone Wingham goal with one minute left in the game. Sunday, the Seaforth team was led by David McIllwain who had four goals. David Garrick added a pair while Scott Driscoll and Kevin Melady had one each. The Beavers had a six goal lead before the Lions got on the scoreboard but then the Lions went on a bit of a rampage them- selves to outscore Seaforth 6-2 in the third period, coming back from 'an 8-2 deficit at the end of the second period. - Todd Graham had two goals and two assists for Goderich. Trevor Erb and Grant Garrow had a goal and an assist each. Brent Williamson, Mike Collins, Ken Huff and Rob Gibbons—s-cor — singles. Robin Moore and Shawn Rahbek had assists. Last Thursday in Listowel, the Lions defeated the Listowel Cyclones 5-2. Brent Williamson, Mike Collins, Ken Huff, Peter Conlon and Trevor Erb each scored once for Goderich. Todd Graham and Robin Moore each had two assists while Ken Huff, Peter Conlon and Rob Gibbons had one assist each. Don McCourt and Todd Hutton scored the Listowel goals. T1 Lions led\3-1 after the first period and outscored Listowel 2-1 in the second. The third period was scoreless. The Lions entertain Mitchell this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Coach Dick Madge's crew will be seeking revenge for a 7-3 setback at the hands of the Mitchell team the last time they met in Mitchell. The Lions' next road game is also against Mitchell, Tuesday night. Three teams on top in Forester The first half of the Foresters' Bowling League schedule is drawing to an exciting close. There is only one bowling night left in the first,' half. Three teams are tied for first place, two for second place and two teams are tied for third place. Vi Fuller had a 222 single for the Bad Ones. Second place Duffers took five points from the Sunday Delights. Don Carrick bowled a 797 triple for: the Duffers. George's Gophers are also in fourth place. They blanked the sixth place Gutter " Kings -.by taking seven points. Eric .Miller bowled a 621 triple for George's Gophers. Glenn Lamb hit a 614 triple for the Gutter Kings, • Fifth place Lucky Six took five points from third place Bob's Angels. Vi de Haas led the Lucky Six wi'th a 711 triple. Bob Rising- -tried hard. for Bob's Angels with a 636 triple. Sunday night will certainly be an exciting time to see who ends up in first place. Bantam B's split The Goderich Bantam Bs split a pair of league games in WOAA action this week. On Friday the Bs lost a • 6-2 decision to Brussels in Brussels and Saturday they drilled Exeter 6-0 in a game at the Goderich Community Centre. In the game Friday, Brussels built up a 3-0 lead after two periods of play and outscored Goderich 3-2 in the final period for the 6-2 win. . Brussels had increased their lead to five goals late in the final period before Paul Brenner scored the first Goderich goal from Jeff Feagan. and Lee Frisby. Brussels added their sixth goal 30 second later and goderich replied with a goal by Ray Vanstone in the final minute of play. The Bs made up for the loss with a solid effort against Exeter Saturday in the 6-0 victory. -Goderich held a 1-01ead after the first period but secondperiod goals by Tim Riehl and Paul McCartney lifted Goderich into a three - goal lead heading into the final period. Riehl, with his second goal, and Chris Starkey and Darrin Moore scored third period goals for Goderich to clinch the 6-0 victory.
