Owen. Sound 84-58
The Goderich Gee
Gee's finally put together
two ' good halves of of-
fensive basketball in a 84-
58 win over arch rivals,
Owen Sound Friday. It
was the Double G's
superior bench strength
which made the dif-
ference as the Goderich
reserves. outscored the
opposition bench 42 - 0.
Owen Sound played catch
up ball throughout the
first half and despite
being badly outplayed
only trailed 42 - 39 at half
time. tt
The second half was
highlighted by stingy
defence with Goderich
coming up with many'key
"turnovers. Owen Sound
finally wilted under the
Gee Gee pressure as Jim
Snider,one of the
league's top scorers, Left
the game with his fifth
personal foul. Offensively
Goderich had four
players in double figures:
Paul Tomass - 16, Jeff
Baechler - 15, Warren
Watt - 14 and Al Sygrove -
12.
Gee Gee's next action is
December 6 in Port Elgin
and then they return
home on Friday, Dec. 7 to
