SANDRA JEAN
KARIKAS
Sandra Jean Karikas of
453 Albert Street, Kin-
cardine, passed away at
her home November 22,
1979, following a lengthy
illness.
Born in Goderich,
Ontario, on September 13,
1943, she was the
daughter of the late
Charles H. Fenner and
Isabel Fenner of Kin-
cardine Township.
She married Steve
Karikas in Oshawa,
Ontario, on July 2, 1967.
She is survived by her
husband and by her one
son David, at home, and
one daughter Jeanette,
also at home.
She is also survived by
her mother and her two
brothers Stan Fenner of
Point Clark and Bob
Fenner of Kincardine
Township.
She was affiliated with
the Pentecostal Church,
Kincardine.
The. funeral was held
November 24, 1979, at the
Linklater Funeral Home
with Rev. Preston of-
ficiating.
Interment in Kin-
cardine Cemetery.
Pallbearers were M.
Kube, A. Potter, B.
Douglas, F.M. Hanif, H.
Coffell, B. Vincent.
Those from a distance
attending the funeral
were from Oshawa,
Goderich, Clinton, Lin-
dsay, Port Elgin, Glamis
and Auburn.
WILBERT L.
JOHNSON
Wilbert L. Johnson of 45
St. David Street,
Goderich died in
Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital after a
lengthy illness on Mon-
day, November 19 at the
age of 85.
He was born on the
Goshen -Line, Stanley
Town sh ip,—Huron-Gownty
on November 29, 1893 to
Edward and Eva
(Kennedy) Johnson.
He -worked as a fox
farmer.
He lived in Stanley
Township until his
marriage to Eva Jane
Boyes there on Sep'=
tember 3, 1932. After his
marriage, he moved to
Goderich:
—RV Was :a riemfier' of
Knox Presbyterian.
Church.
He was predeceased by
his wife on January 10
1979. He was also
predeceased by his
brother, George.
He is survived by three
sisters-in-law, Mrs.
Frank (Florence) Fowler
off Goderich, Mrs. Mabel
Reid of Bayfield and Mrs.
Iva Boyes of Clinton.
A funeral service and
committal were held at
Stiles Funeral Home in
Goderich on Tifursday,
November 22 at 2 p.m.
The Reverend G.L. Royal
officiated.
Interment was in
Bayfield Cemetery.
MISS RUBY
GILDERS
Miss Ruby Gilders of
Goderich died in
Goderich on Sunday,
November 25 after a
lengthy illness at the age
of 54.
She was born in
Goderich on September
25, 1925 to Joseph and
Agnes (Bradshaw)
Gilders.
She is survived by three
sisters, Mrs. Ellwood
(Lola) Atkinson of
Goderich, Mrs. Gordon
( Barbara) . Pollock of
R.R. 5 Goderich, and
Mrs. Albert (Lillian)
Govier of Oshawa; and
three brothers, Alvin of
Goderich, Ray of Clinton
and Wilfred of Goderich.
She was predeceased
by one brother, Stewart.
A` funeral service was
held at McCallum
Funeral Home in
Goderich on Monday,
November 26. The
Reverend G.L. Royal
officiated.
Interment ' was in
Colborne Cemetery,
Colborne Township.
MRS. MARY MAUDE
JOHNSON ,.
Mrs. Mary Maude
Johnson of Muncie,
Ind-iana and—formerly-of
Goderich, died suddenly
on November 19 in her.
61st year.
She was born in
Goderich on May 2, 1919
to William and Isabella
(Bissett) Moore.
She is survived by one
son, Paul "i and one
daughter, Mrs. Diana
Greer, both of Muncie,
Indiana;; -three brothers,
William Moore of
Goderich, Benson Moore
of London and Robert
Moore of Petrolia• one
sister, Mrs. Thomas
(Marilyn) McLean of
Goderich; and three
grandchildren. Also
surviving are several
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased
by one sister in 1975.
A funeral service was
held at the Parson
Mortuary in Muncie on
Wednesday, November 21
with. the Reverend Father
Edward Stone officiating.
Cremation followed.
Interment was in
Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich oil November
24. The graveside service
was conducted by the
Reverend G.L. Royal of
Knox Presbyterian
Church, Goderich.
MRS. MARIE JOAN
McGRATH
Mrs. Marie Joan
McGrath of Goderich
died suddenly in
Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital on
Monday, November 19 at
the age of 61.
She was born in
Preston, Ontario on May
2, 1918 to Edward and
Mary (Tremblay)
Barrette.
She married Leo
McGrath who
predeceased her.
She was a member of
St. Peter's Church in
Goderich.

children, Mrs. Joe
(Marie) Burbine of
Goderich and Leo of
Toronto; two brothers,
Gordon Barrette of
Scarborough and Albert
Barrette of Montreal;
seven grandchildren; and
three great-
grandchildren.
A funeral mass was
held at St. Peter's Church
on Wednesday,
November 21 att, 11 a.m.
The Reverend Father
A.F. Loebach officiated.
Prayers were said at
McCallum Funeral Home
on Tuesday evening,
November 20.
Interment was in St.
Peter's Cemetery,
Colborne Township.
Pallbearers` were
Glenn Green, Ken
Davidson, Martin
McGee, Joe Burbine Jr.,
Ken Young, and Danny
Burbine.
RAYMOND J. DEAN
Raymond J. Dean of
Falls Church, Virginia
died on Friday,
November 16 after a
short illness. He was in
his 65th year.
He was born in
Goderich to Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Dean.
He is survived by his
wife, Pauline Lassaline
and six children at home.
A memorial mass was
held on Saturday,
November' 29 at St.
Anthony Church in Falls
Church.
MISS SARAH JANE
(SADIE) CARTER.
Miss Sarah Jane
(Sadie) Carter, formerly
of Goderich and Auburn,
died in Clinton Public
Hospital on Wednesday,
November 21 at the age of
92.
She was thorn in Hyillet
Township on September
22, 1887 to James Willis
and Mary (Hetherington)
Carter.
She lived in Auburn
"from her birth until 1962
when she moved to
Goderich and took up
residence with her sister,
Mrs. Elizabeth Hill.
She worked as a
practical nurse, assisting
Dr: B.C. Weir for many
years around the vicinity
of Auburn.
She was the organist at
Auburn United Church
and was a member of the
Women's Missionary
Society.
She was a member of
Knox Presbyterian
Church in Goderich.
She is survived by one
sister, Mrs. Nelson
(Elizabeth) Hill of
Goderich ; and two
nephews, Reg Carter of
Port Elgin and Bill Hill of
London.
She was predeceased
by two brothers, Joseph
Hetherington Carter and
William Isaac Carter.
A funeral service was
held at McCallum
Funeral Home in
Goderich on Friday,
November 23 at 2 p.m.
The Reverend G.L. Royal
officiated.
Interment was in
Clinton Cemetery
