most exciting basketball
games of the year with
the Gee Gees coming out

The first half was
highlighted by stingy

was able to mount any
consistent offensive
attacks. Port Elgin took a

personal fouls. The first
shot was good and a

season opener.
Five straight penalties
were the B's undoing, as
Zurich was able to notch
three goals while playing
with a man advantage.
The B's took a lead of 1-0
at 6:18 of the first period
when Ron Chapman fed a
pass to Mike Brenner at

low shot to the corner.
Then Zurich scored three
straight powerplay goals
plus a short-handed goal
to make the score 4-1.
But the locals never
gave up. Darren Connelly
from the slot, fired home
