The game in 'Hensall was a back and forth struggle with the lead changing hands several times. Goderich got on the board first with a goal by Don McCallum. Friday for an 8.30 p.m. game and the teams will play in .Lucknow, Sunday at 7 30 A demanding schedule is beginning to take it toll on the Goderich Merchants. The schedule had the Merchants playing seven games in the first 19 days ' of November 'and the team showed- signs of strain this week. Last Wednesday , the Merchants put out a strong offensive effort in a 8-2 rout of Centralia College but thursday they dropped a 5-2 decision to Exeter and Monday the defending champion Zurich Buckeyes handed Goderich their second straight loss, 6-3. But the Merchants stood up and recorded four wins and tie in the seven -game stretch. Cam MacDonald led the Merchant offence in the 8-2 win over Centralia with a four point night. MacDonald scored a goal in each period and also set up a first period marker by Bill Wedlock. Paul Corriveau chipped in with two goals and an. assist while Wedlock, Phil Petrie and Dave Graf added one goal each. Rob Standed assisted on three goals and Tom O'Brien two. The Merchants led 4-1 after one period, 5-2 after two and completed the win with „three straight goals in the final 20 minutes. But Zurich responded with two goals in two minutes and Ron Corriveau added another for the Merchants before the close of the period to make the score -5-2 in favor of Zurich after two periods. Goderich again pulled to within two goals in the third period as Fraser Strong scored from Standen. Zurich replied with a power play effort late in the game to wrap the win. On Monday the Mer- chants will host Kettle Point at 8.30 p.m. ustangs manage 3-3 tie It was an unproductive week for the Goderich ' Green and Parent Mustangs as they managed a tie in two league games. Last Monday the Mustangs needed a last second goal to earn a 3-3 tie 'with Mitchell in a game played in Mitchell and Saturday they dropped a 5-3 decision to Lis owel in Goderich.
