HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Goderich Signal-Star, 1979-11-08, Page 74Service club entries Party food CHICKEN SALTIMBOCCA CREPES All Purpose crepe batter: 4 eggs 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups flour 21/4 cups milk 1/4 cup melted butter In medium mixing bowl, combine eggs and salt. Gradually add flour alternately with milk, beating with an electric beater until smooth. Beat in melted butter. Refrigerate batter at least 1 hour. Makes about 32 to 36 crepes. Perfect for a party! Fill and coat crepes ahead of time and refrigerate. Heat them just before serving. 10 thin slices cooked ham 5 slices mozarella cheese. halved 10 cooked crepes 1 cup chopped cooked chicken 1 small tomato, finely chopped Seasoned salt 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine Place one slice of ham and half slice cheese.on each, crepe. Top with chicken and tomato. Sprinkle with seasoned salt. Fold over right and left sides of crepe and roll up. Combine Par- mesan cheese with bread 'crumbs. Diprolled crepes in butter, then in bread crumb mixture. Heat in shallow baking pan at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 10 crepes. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. garlic 1 egg 1/4 cup onions Combine above ingredients, roll into small balls and brown. Meanwhile make sauce: 11/2 tsp. butter 2 tablespoons onions 1/ tsp. curry powder 1/2 cup ketchup 1/4 cup tomato juice 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce one-third tsp. tarragon Pepper' 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese Bring sauce to a boil. Spread with spaghetti sauce as if you were buttering them. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese. Put on cut-up pieces of ham, pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, green pepper as desired.
