Auburn's `Baseball Bill" Craig dies in AM & G at age 85

William John (Baseball
Bill) Craig of Auburn
died in Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital on
Monday, October 29 at
the age of 85.
He was born on April 8,
1899 in West Wawanosh
Township to Edward and
Dinah (Robinson) Craig.
He worked as -a car-
penter.
He was a life member
and past master of
Achievement
night Friday
The thirty-second
annual Huron County 9-H
Achievement Night will
be held in the Central
Huron Secondary School
in Clinton, on Friday,
November 9, com-
mencing at 8 p.m.
All Huron County 4-H
Agricultural Club
members who completed
a project in 1979 will
receive their awards on
this occasion, as well as
those who have received
special trophies and
awards for their 1979 9-H
club work.

A funeral service was
held at McCallum
Funeral Home in
Goderich on Thursday,
November 1 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend John
Oestreicher officiated at
the service with
assistance from Mr. Rick
Hawley.
Interment was in Ball's
C metery in Auburn.

Worsell, Bruce Craig,
Brent Craig and Jim
Craig.
Flower bearers . were
Bill Ideson and Don
Henderson.
Morning Star Lodge
held a masonic memorial
service at the funeral
home on Wednesday
evening, October 31.

The school celebrated Hal-
lowe'en by having a costume
party for the children from
Kindergarten to Grade 4.
Costume winners were given
a free bag of chips.
Students' Council had a
record hop for Grades 5 to 8.
Bags of chips' were given out
as prizes for spot dances.
Monday. October 29 was a
Professional Activity Day.

amendment to the
county's official plan
changing the designation
of the Sandpiper Inn
restaurant in ` Vanastra
from service -commercial
to institutional. It was
reported that a public
'meeting called to debate
the change was attended
'only by Jack
McLaughlin, Tucker -
smith Township clerk and
a• planner from the
county. The re-
classification was
requested , 'to' pave the
way for resale of the
restaurant.

Brucefield, to supply
industrial fuel oil to the
Goderich courthouse for
the next two years.

and iristall the ceiling support (A). The insulated
prefab stainless steel- chimney sections, which
simply- twistlock together, are supported on this
ceiling support. Then .cut a hole in the roof and
