David Powell and Ann
Powell, brother and
sister, are originally
from England and are
graduates with Honours
from Art College.
They have been per-
forming together as the
Puppetmongers Powell
since 1973.
They have performed
at national and in-
ternational festivals in
Canada, USA, G.B., and
Iran. They have won a
"Citation for Excellense
in the Art of Puppetry"
from U.N.I.M.A. (USA),
the only award for
puppetry in North
America.
Their 1979. season in-
cluded the PtiPpeteer of

the sidelines where they

four girls continue their
several days "hide out"
in the local. arena in
defiance of their mothers'
idea of 'fairness for all.'
It doesn't take long for
pranks and a near fatal
disaster to bring the
protest to an abrupt halt.
