Beach of Goderich recently graduated from the Advanced Auto Body Repairer, Class "`A', apprentice program at Fanshawe College in London. +++ Audrey Jean Barlow of Elgin Avenue West in Goderich, was one of 160 part-time students to receive a B.A. degree at the 230th Convocation of The University of Western Ontario in London on October 26 and, 27.. "The achievement of our part-time students is a particular source of pride," commented Dr. Thomas N. Guinsburg, Dean of the Faculty of Part -Time and Con- tinuing Education at Western. "Their record . of perseverance over a number of years demonstrates that their part-time path to a degree, while far from easy, is altogether feasible. Western is pleased to have been able to help them reach their goal." +++ Mrs. Mabel Cummings of Goderich was in Ottawa last week at- tending the graduation of her daughter, Mrs. Frances. (Brereton) McLean. received a special commendation for demonstrating resour- cefulness and initiative during an incident at tlje Stadacona Main Gate, CFF Halifax on August 6. Young, Base Commander CFB„„ Halifax, wrote to Mr. and Mrs. Williams that: "Pte Williams demonstrated a high degree of resour- cefulness, iniative and presence of mind in speedily rendering First Aid to the stricken Commissionaire in a calm, cool and efficient manner.
