Here last Thursday, the Vikings pounded Norwell, 76-12, and playing at home again Monday, the Vikes were 60-15 Ainners over Seaforth. The victories leave coach Donna Doidge's Vikings deadlocked atop the Conference standings with Stratford Central who are also undefeated. The .showdown between the two league -leaders comes here next Wed- nesday when they go head to head for first pace. The Vikings had three players in double figures against Norwell. Bonnie Reid had 14 points, Heidi Elliott had 12 and Sonja Lapaine had. 10 for the winners. Karen Melady added eight. Bonnie Reid and Heidi Elliott each had 12 points against Seaforth. BY TD The GDCI Junior girls' basketball team had run up a string of six straight victories in Huron -Perth Conference basketball play, but that season -long undefeated record cam to an end here Monday when they were set"dow by Seaforth, 41-35. Th Seaforth girls, who wen into the game with a 5- won -lost record,.got a 2 point performance from Mary Thompson. Kathy Larone added another 15 points for Seaforth. Heather Minielly and Robin MacDonald each 12. In that game, the Vikings were led by Robin MacDonald's 23 points. Mona Gleason hit for eight. Teresa Kovacs, Heather Minielly, Barb Conlon, Mary O'Neill and e Teresa Donnelly all had four -point games for the n Vik-i-ngs.
