of the Christmas shop-

reminds shoppers to keep
their car doors locked or
better still, lock parcels

about 60 thefts last year
could have been
prevented if people had
done this. Very few
thieves will actually

It is important to keep

Five of the six suggestions from the con-

In June, changes in the dietary staffing
pattern were introduced resulting in savings of
$3,000 in 1979-80 and in $3,564 annually.
On the first of October, there was a reduction,
in overtime in the laboratory resulting in
savings of $1,576 in 1979-80 and $3,151 annually,
and changes in evening staffing in emergency
accounting for savings of $3,602 in 1979-8Q and •
$7,203 annually. •
On October 22, there was a reduction in relief
in radiology amounting to savings of $5,225 in
1979-80 and $10,450 annually.
Not all recommendations were for staff
reductions, however. On July 1,1979, there was
an increase in nursing staff which will cost
$20,000 more in 1979-80 and $45,706 annually.
The sixth recommendation from the con-
sultan•.s to be approved by the board will
produce the greatest savings. Implementation
date is November 1,1979.
This will be the re -organization of admitting,
