The GDCI senior
Vikings recorded their
third consecutive victory
against no losses when
they overwhelmed the
Listowel Lords, 73-0 in
Huron -Perth Conference
football play here last
Thursday.
The game, which was
strictly no contest from a
football point of view,
degenerated into a
penalty -filled fiasco by
•
the later stages as the
frustrated Lords resorted
to illegal tactics. Listowel
received over 20Ccyards in
penalties and bad two
players ejected for
deliberate attempt to
injure.
Viking coach Ray
Donnelly was incensed by
the conduct of the visiting
team. "There is ao ex-
cuse or room for any
athlete deliberately
trying to injure another in
high school athletics,"
said the Viking
UUL phayt:fS
showed above what was
asked of them in terms of
self-discipline and self-
control."
On the scoreboard
Randy Little led the
Viking attack with three
touchdowns, all On short
yardage running plays.
Little was also on the
receiving end of a two-
point conversion pass
thrown by Dennis Don-
nelly.

Viking touchdowns on
end sweeps that went for
/5 yards and 25 yards.

Shewfelt hit John O'Keefe
with a 21 -yard pass. and

yard. pass for two more
Viking majors and scored
one himself on a one -yard
dive play.
The other Viking touch-
downs were scored by
Dennis Donnelly on a
seven yard sweep and
Ben Worsen on a 30 -yard
pass interception.
Eric Mitchel) kicked
seven converts and Doug

touch in the second
quarter. " The Lords
conceded another safety
touch in the fourth
quarter to complete the
scoring.

grand fashion playing

good starts winning their
first two games. Kirk
Lyndon and Chas.
MacDonald round out the
undefeated players with
both players winning

up wins last week to show
substantial increases in

week.
Owen Moriarty was the
busiest player of the
evening playing five
games and winning two of
them. Other players
picking up victories last
week were Glen Naylor,
Steve Hammill, Mike Cox

A search through the

light some very in-
teresting statistics.

I would at this time like
to welcome a new player
to the club - Glen Naylor.
Glen should provide the
club with more good
competition' and has
proved he can compete
with a"win in his first two
