were all home with their
mother, Mrs. Willetta
McWhinney for
Thanksgiving. Hugh was
missing as he has been a
patient in Goderich
hospital since Friday
with chest pains.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Emerson of Queensville
called on their daughter,
Mrs. Lynn Wall on
Monday and visited in
Wingham hospital with
their grandson, Tom.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Brindley and •family
spent Thanksgiving with

Ross Brindley ac-
companied several
Kinloss area hunters,
namely Duncan
McEwan, Art Stanley,
Del Stanley, Red Stanley
and Allan Rhody moose
hunting in the Dryden
area. The men left
Sunday night for two

last week.
Tom Wall is a patient in
Wingham hospital after
being admitted on Friday
evening. He is suffering
from a perforated ulcer.
He is expected to be there
a week or 10 days.
TURKEY SHOOT
A shooting match
sponsored by the
Dungannon 125th Bir-
thday Committee was
held at Culbert's pit on
Saturday, October 6.
Spirits were not dam-
pened by the rain as the
rather small turnout
stayed to make the shoot
successful with a total of
19 turkeys being won by 5
different contestants.

spoke on "Giving
Thanks": The choir sang,
"He's Got the Whole
World in his Hands" led
by organist, Mrs. Jean
Elliott.
At the close of the
service, Mr. Cowan sang
a solo, "How Great•. Thou
Art, "'accompanied on the
organ by his son, Ken
Cowan. This is his
mother's favourite hymn
and he sang it as a
present for her 93rd
birthday. Mrs. Cowan Sr.
was present to hear it and
on Sunday afternoon, the
Cowans were At Home to
friends and well wishers
of Mrs. Cowan who was
baptized in the
Dungannon Church 93
years ago.
