The open house
Tuesday was a big suc-
cess. Mr. Moore, the vice-
principal said it was
great.
The staff interviewed a
couple of parents to find
out how they liked it. Mrs.
Nivens said the open
house is great because
the teachers get to know
the parents. Mrs. Collins
says it's just fantastic.
PICTURES
On September 23, the
photographers' came to
Robertson to take school
photos. Individual pic-
tures were taken. Class
pictures will be taken in
the spring.
The photographer's
name is Peter Stock and
he has been taking school
pictures for three years.
School children all over
southwestern Ontario are
being photographed (high
schools and public
schools).
At Robertson the "B"
package was most
popular and the_ next
popular was "A"
package. Over 400 pic-
tures were taken.

helpers and they are Kim
Schweitzer, Debbie
Moore, Vicki Whetstone
and Marjorie Taylor.
Mr. Crawford has
helpers so that he can do
other things that are
necessary while helpers
take care of the library.
The helpers straighten
books, get films ready
and stamp cards.
In the morn pg there
are two helpers and in the
afternoon

Mr. Leggatt's, Mr.
Moore's and Mr. Bogie's
grade 8 classes are
having a spelling contest.
Each week they see who
can get the least
mistakes.

Teddy bears are very
special beings in the lives
of young children. Teddy

Beni i wins
Benji Crane, son of
Karen and Brian Crane of
R.R. 6 Goderich, is
September's winner in
the Captain Comet Birth-
day Club. Benji turned
three -years -old on
September 29. He can
pick up his prize at the
Signal -Star office any
time between 9 a.m. and 5
p.m. Monday to.Friday.
Tim Chisholm was
goaltender for the
Blizzards and Doug.
Lounsbury for the White
Caps. David Day was the
captain for the White
Caps and Paul Green for
the Blizzards. John
Thompson and David
Day scored on the White
Caps.
On Thursday, Sep-
tember 27 the Cosmos
beat the Detroit Express
4-2. The captain for the
Cosmos was Brian Hanna
and for the Express was
Ewan McMahon. Nick
Treb.ish scored two goals,
Trevor Erb and Mike
Collins once each for the
Cosmos. For the Express,
Ewan McMahon and
Todd Graham scored.
The goaltenders were
Ralph Cook for the
Cosmos and Dave Smith
for the Express.
SENIOR GIRLS
SOCCER
The Blizzards and
Chargers had a game and
the Blizzards won 3-0.
Then the Champs had a
game against the
Chargers and the
Chargers won against the
Champs with Mary Beth
Alexander and Heather
Sine each scoring a goal.
JUNIOR BOYS
SOCCER
" The junior boys have
played extremely good
games. This week the
Furies defeated the
Rowdies 2-1. The White
Caps tied the Rowdies 0-0.

tember 25 the junior girls
