As if things ,weren:t
confused enough, our
modern misuse of ' the
English languageis
making things murkier
than ever. Consider this:
"Economy size” means a
large box of soap, but a
small automobile.
A popular novelist was
recently asked his for-
mula for success. Replied
the -novelist: "I always
start out with a clean
sheet of paper and a dirty
mind."
