GOOERICH 524-7212 "Pure Delight --Snack Right". For some of us snacks make up a large part of the food we eat in a day. And so, the theme of choosing snacks wisely is vital. Food and nutrition specialists with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food recommend that you consider the sugar content of snack foods and also the calories and nutrients they provide. • Snack foods high in sugar and fat provide un- necessary calories which can lead to overweight problems. High -sugar •• snack foods don't do your teeth any favor either. Some ideal choices for snack foods are: milk, plain yogurt, cheese, plain muffins, plain whole grain or enriched bread, raw fruits and vegetables, unsweetened fruit and vegetable juices and hard cooked eggs. Watch for interesting events planned to promote Nutrition Week in this area. And do yourself a favor and adopt the policy that it is pure delight to snack right!
