Health nurses... • from page lA Association feels that - public health nurses, also known as community healt nurses in some areas, will play a; much greater role in com- munity health in the 1980s. It is important for the public to become <• aware' of the services offered by public health nurses, services that are paid for by their taxes. Public Health Nurses' Week has therefore been launched as a PUBLIC relations program to bring. PUBLIC health nursing to the PUBLIC'S attention. So remember, although the PHN does not wear a '"" uniform, she is indeed a "real" nurse and she provides a very real service to the com- munity, looking out for the mental and physical well-beirig of all.
