a one game lead in a wild
playoff series with

Coming off a series'
tying 18 inning thriller
Sunday night the Com-
pany came 0'61 g scoring
11 times on nine hits.
Leading 6-1 after five
innings the Company
came up- with a five run
burst that resulted in
Company hurler- Stan
Doherty getting an
unexpected and needed
rest. The Company held
French off in the bottom
of the sixth to hang on to
the 10 run lead which
meant, according to the
league's mercy rule, the
seventh inning was not
played.
Canada Company went
right after the win sen-
ding eight batters to the
plate in the top of the first
coming away with a four
run edge.. Rob McDonald
singled and scored on a
triple by Glen Tigert.
Tom O'Keefe rapped a
double . and Bryan
Bowman reached first on
a fielder's choice. Both
scored on a single by

Casey Wildgen before
French ended the inning.
French's only run came
in the second inning when
Ray Klages slammed a
triple to lead off and
scored on a sacrifice by
Don McWhinney.

three baggers. Austin
scored on an error.
The winning rally in the
sixth inning started with
a French error. Wildgen
reached first on the
mistake . and moved
around on a single by

with a second Cleaner
error and Rob McDonald
drilled a double to score
three. Glen Tigert tripled
and scored on a sacrifice

from the recent tornado.
The month of September
has been designated as
the time to be involved in
this need and anyone
wishing to help in the
fund is to place their
donation in an envelope,
marked Tornado, and
place it on the offering
plate at church. if a
receipt is wished include
your name on the en-
velope. At the end of the
month, the money raised
will be forwarded.
On September 16 at
12:30 pm, the
congregational dinner
will be held after the 9:45
am church service and
Sunday School.
The entire
congregation is invited to
remain to attend this
, centennial event and

prepare the meal after
the service, each family
is asked to bring salads,
pies or tarts.
There will be games
and activities for the
children and young'
people..
The church's an-
niversary service will be
held on October 7 at 2 pm.
