private school, was saved from the wrecking ball recently by
Dorothy Wallace of Goderich. The house was slated for
demolition to make room for parking at the new senior citizens'
complex location. Mrs. Wallace purchased the house from the
town for the nominal fee of $2 with the stipulation that she move it
from 88 Lighthouse Street. She had it moved last Thursday to the
west end of Bruce Street. She plans to renovate it and then sell it
with the profit going to the Goderich Performing Arts Foundation
for the Livery Theatre. (Photo by Joanne Buchanan)
