Anyone who thinks the
fissioning of the atom
with all its inherent chain
reactions and radioactive
waste

comparable to the safe
operation of cars or farm

needs a little nuclear
disaster in their own
community so thiey can
understand thl dif-

With the fissioning of
the atom we are talking
about things like
potential genetic
mutation or -potential
infestation of the food
chain with carcinogenic
radioactivity. Some car

parallel I can think of

for the nuclear industry
are faulty, we will need a
"call-back" on all the

Bruce counties because
we will all be faulty after
ONE accident.

that the spiral of inflation'

we are ignoring. What we
seem to be unable to
accept is that we are
continually using ever
larger amounts of capital
to extract ever shrinking,
lower quality materials
and energy from the
earth.
And anyone who thinks
nuclear is a "cheap"

writer of being con-
cerned about the jobs that I just ' hope other
are threatened in the Ontarians and societies

energyand its options,
they will turn nuclear
down. They will, that is,
unless the want growth
at any cost.
I've looked at the facts
and figures, and I don't
like the monetary or
moral costs of a nuclear
future.
