beyond his depth and get
scared - 'tho he seemed to
have no fear. Just smiled
and laughed and kept it
up 'til his lips were blue.
• He had to be lifted out
bodily and wrapped in a

in less than five minutes
,as he jumped back into
the water. : •

Since their children
were very small, the Bill
Reids had always had a
pool - and they had seen
peat happenings such as
this with Mathew's
performance. So now
Mathew's grandparents
have promised him he
will be able to swim, next
year,- at their house. Bill
sells more pools that
way! You HAVE to play
in one to be convinced.
But they,' the Reids, are
the kind of people who
always have friends
around them. They have
gone out of the grocery
store business to' con-
centrate on pools and
their supplies and Bill,
also, works every day at
the mine. Which proves
the friendliestpeople, are
always the hard workers.
And this applies to Chuck
and Millie also - they Like

continued. He said paper boys would continue
to deliver in Clinton and Goderich for an in-
definite length of time.
The withdrawal of the Free Press is expected
to save the company about $250,000 a year,
mostly in transportation costs, while bureau
reporters Helen Connell of Goderich and John
Matsui, of Stratford are to be assigned to the
main -newsroom in London.
The move ends a 120 year tradition of Free
Press coverage of the area, and opens the daily
field up to newcomers, including, the Kitchener -
Waterloo Record, who withdrew from Huron
County after a brief circulation drive last fall
fizzled.
