Graham dumped Gords 5-2 last Wednesday and then racked up two wins on the weekend beating Little Bowl 3-1 Sunday and McGees, 4-2, Mon- day. - The victories improved the Electric's record to 11 wins, nine losses and a tie for 23 points. - Against Gords the Electrics broke open a tie game with a three -run rally in the fifth inning to record the 5-2 win. Bob Hnatyk and Bruce Bowman belied Lwt, ;hits each for Graham. Hnatyk singled in Fraser Strong with the first Graham run and singled and scored in the fourth inning on a hit by Bowman. Bowman also singled in a run in the fifth. Team-mate Bill Wraith added a run - scoring double in the fifth inning. K -W Civitans edge Little Plumbers 6-3 The Kitchener - Waterloo Civitans scored four runs in the third inning and hung on for a 6-3 win over the Goderich Hoffineyer Little Plumbers in Inter- mediate Ladies Fastball League action in Goderich, Friday. Jane Stockie delivered the key blow for the Civitans, belting a two - out, bases loaded triple in the third inning to score three • runs. She scooted home with the fourth run on a followup single by Donna Hammer. The Civitans increased, their lead to five runs in the top of the seventh as Ziebart remains in third spot Ziebart remained in third place in the Maitland Division standings plitting a pair of games in Industrial League action. On Wednesday Ziebart hammered Lakeport 10-4 but then lost a 4-3 game to French, Sunday. The split leaves Ziebart with 10 wins, nine losses and a tie while French has 12 wins and eight losses on the year. Ziebart lashed out 13 -hits in their win against Lakeport and scared seven runs in the first three innings en rout to the victory. Rick Duck- worth held a hot bat for Ziebart belting four hits in four trips to the plate. 'He singled - in the secpnd inning and scored, tripled in the third and scored, tripled in the fourth and scored and singled in a. run in the sixth inning. Team-mates Simon Langlois, Al Sygrove, Cam MacDonald and Ron Carriveaul- added two -hits apiece. •Langlois tripled. in the second to score two runs and added a solo homer in the fifth. MacDonald and. Corriveau had a double and single each and Sygrove chipped in with two singles. Tim McLean and Ron Miller had two hits each for Lakeport. Langlois picked up the win allowing four runs on. eight hits and striking out three batters. Draper was tagged for 13 hits in the loss. In the game Sunday, French rallied from a 3-0 deficit to score three runs ,in the fifth inning and a single in the bottom of the seventh to win 4-3. Ziebart jumped into an early lead with two runs in the first inning. Greg hansen doubled to score Ray Volland and Hansen scored the second run on Arnie Parker's triple. They scored another run in the fourth as Len Kolk- man scooted home •pn Dave Mclvor's single. French then went to work and scored three runs in the fifth to tie the game on singles by Jim McWhinney, Glen Ferguson and Ron Klages and a double by Jim McCarthy. ' They scored the win- ning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Klages lead off • with a single, ,was sacrificed to second and scored on Phil Turner's single. Company wins 9-0 Canada Company combined eight hits with six Green and Parent errors en rout to 'a 9-0 win ip Industrial League play, Sunday. Canada ,Company connected for eight hits in the game but scored all nine runs in the- _third' inning on just five hits while batting through. the order. Bryan Bowman and Rob MacDonald provided key hits in the inning, each smacking triples. Casey Wildgen, Mike Donnelly and Terry Austin added singles. The win was the 15th of the season for Canada Company against only five losses and assures them of first place in the MaItTa'rici Division with two games remaining. Stan Doherty picked up the win blanking Green and Parent on three hits _and _striking _out ___three batters, Leroy Meriam was the only batter with two hits in the game. He singled in the first and sixth inning. Brian Rurnig had the other Green and Parent hit. Jim Martin and Walter Bell -shared the mound duties for Green and Parent. Goderich got back in the game in their half of the seventh scoring three runs on three errors and two hits. Sandy Rowe, Carol Cruickshank and Karen McKinnon each scored a run for Goderich.. The Civitans scored the final run of the game in the ninth inning as Stockie tripled and scored on an error. Sue Kolkman and MacKinnon were the ton Goderich . batters with two hits apiece. Stockie, Han mer and Chris Voisin had two hits apiece,: for the Civitans. Hammer went the distance in win for the Civitans and limited Goderich to three runs on seven hits. Heidi Elliott allowed six runs on nine hits in the loss. The Little Plumbers play their final game of the regular season in Goderich Friday against Waterford. Game time is 8.30 n.m. George Klumper picked up the win and stopped Gords on six hits and fanned 10 batters. Graham got to Dave Scholl for five runs on seven hits. Graham won their second game of the week Sunday, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to shade Little bowl 3-1. Graham took a one -run lead in the second inning as Shawn Whalen scored on a Bowman double and the lead .stood until the fifth inning. Little Bowl tied the game in the fifth inning with Ron Hunking .belting a triple 'and scoring on a. sacrifice. Graham broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth as Mark Frayrre and George Klumper nailed back to back singles. Frayne scored on an error and Klumper came home on an infield out. Frayne and Klumper led the Electric's five -hit offence with two hits apiece. John Verway held Little Bowl to one run on six hits and struck out seven. On Monday, Graham put together a four -run rally in the third Inning and hung an to beat the McGee Pontiacs 4-2. Hnatyk and Klumper again provided the clutch hits with. successive doubles. With Wraith. and F,rayne aboard, Hnatyk doubled to score two runs. Klumper followed with .a double to scare Hnatyk and Klumper scored the fourth run on•a two -out single by Mark Kernighan. Clare Harmon had three hits for McGees-.and scored both their runs. He singled in the first and scored and doubled in the seventh and scored on Rick Sowerby's double. Klumper allowed seven hits in the win and struck out 13 Pontiac batters.
