A man sat in on a card
game for the first time.
He was more than a little
surprised to see a dog
sitting at the table. As he
watched, the dog drew
three cards, held them
between the toes of one
paw 'and raised the ante
with the other paw. When
the manexpressed
amazement the dog's
owner replied, "Aw, he's
not so good. Every time
he gets a good hand he
wags his tail."

The football coach,
dejected because his
team was losing again,
looked down the bench of
substitutes and yelled,
"All right Smith, go in
there and get ferocious!"
Smith jumped up with a
start and cried, "Sure
coach, what's.. his num-

dumb in things that really
count. The hilarious,
heart-warming comedy
occurs when he tries to
improve her mind anck
she tries to improve his
joy in living.
