Inthrested citizens discuss social activities
BY FRAN RI.EGLLNG
The third meeting 'of inter-
ested citizens was held in the
Kingsbridge Parish Hall on
Thursday, July 26th with a
good turnout. Social and Rec-
reational activities were dis-
cussed with the following list
compiled: Social - Drama
club, dancing, square danc-
ing, family movies, cards,
quilting and Genealogical
research; Recreational - table
tennis, carpet ball, . photo-
graphy, table and floor shuf-
fle board. These were just a
few of the suggestions of
those attending. -There are
many talented people in this
area who possibly would
share their knowledge with
others. They do not have to
be senior citizens, it is open
to all age -s who would be
willing to help in many ways.
The program is for all deno-
minations and it was 'decided
to mail invitations out to nine
different organizations in the
area to come to the next
meeting. By the time you are
reading this write up, you
should have received your
invitation. If each of the
groups would try to get a car
load to- attend, • asking the
seniors in their groups who
might not have a ride other-
wise, think of the goodwill
you could be spreading.
Many have expressed their
support and hopes for this
type • of program but we
would. like 'to see them
coming out to the meetings,
giving their ideas! The next.
meeting will be held on
August 16th at 2 p.m. Your
presence would be appreciat-
ed. See you then.
