A dedication service on July 11 marked the opening of the
MacDonald Lodge at Camp Klntail. Rev. R. D. MacDonald,
clerk, Synod of Hamilton and Londgn, second from left,
dedicated the building In memory of his father, Rev. C.
MacDonald. He was assisted by, from .the left, C. W.
Lemmex, chairman, Site Development Committee; Rev. W.

Communit-y Vacation Bible -School -ended after two
weeks of fun and learning last Friday with a closing
day program put on by the chlldren,for the parents
in North Street United Church auditorium. Crafts
made at bible school were also on display.
Admiring- their crafts, left to right, are Heidi
Zoethout, Dania Boonstra and Trevor Schilthuis of
the primary one class. Trevor is also holding a bean

Blind folk enjoy picnic
The, Canadian Council
of the Blind Bluewater
Club ,had a•picnic in the
Harbour Park, Goderich,
July, 18th. The weather
was perfect, warm in the
sun and cool in the shade.
They had their sister
club from London as
guests. The oldest lady at
the picnic was Mrs.
Reddick of London, who
is 91 and travelled by
chartered bus with the
other club members.
The afternoon was
spent playing games and
renewing old acquain-
tances.
Lunch was- served by
the Dunlop Women's
Institute.

Mrs. Mary Adeline
(Lena) Boyle of Goderich
died in St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener on
Thursday, July 19 at the
age of 86.
She was born in St.
Augustine on June 29,
1893 to William and
Catherine (Redmond)
Leddy.
She was married to
William A. Boyle. He
predeceased her on July
4, 1964.
The late Mr. and Mrs.
Boyle operated a general
store in St. Augustine for
30 years.
The late Mrs. Boyle had
been a resident of
Goderich for the past 25
years. She was a member

She is survived by three
children, Harry of
Toronto, Mrs. Robert
(Rita) Turner - of
Waterloo, and Norman of
Kitchener; two sisters,
Mrs. Ethel Boyle of
Goderich and Mrs. Sara
Anstett of Wingham; two
brothers, James Leddy of
Wingham, and Raymond
Leddy of. Lucknow; ten
grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was
held at • 11 a.m. on
Saturday, July 21 at St.
Peter's Church in
Goderich. The Reverend
Father A.F. Loebach
officiated.
Prayers were said at
McCallum Funeral Home
in Goderich on Friday
evening, July 20.
Interment was in St.
Augustine Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Peter
Jefferson, Raymond
Boyle, Robert McAllister,
Kenneth Leddy, Joe
Turner and Bert Moss.
MRS. GEORGE
MONK
Mrs. George (Mary
Jane) Monk of 129 Albert
Street, Clinton, formerly
of Seaforth, died Sunday,
July 22 in her 86th year.
She was predeceased
by her husband Charles
Riley; one son Kenneth;
and two brothers.
She is survived by her
husband, George Monk;
sons, Bernard of Kit-
chener, Fred of Seaforth
and Alvin of Goderich ;
five sisters and 14
grandchildren.
A funeral service took
place at the Whitney'
Ribey Funeral Home, 87
Goderich Street West,
Seaforth 'on Tuesday,
July24at2p.m.
Interment was at
Maitlandbank Cemetery.
Donations to the
Canadian Cancer Society
are being accepted by the
family as expressions of
sympathy.

BOGIE
Philip C. Bogie of
Southgate, Michigan died
in Trenton, Michigan
after a lengthy illness on
Tuesday, July 17 at the
age of 77.
He was born in
Colborne Township on
February 16, 1902 to
William and Elizabeth
(Carney) Bogie.
He worked as a marine
engineer with Ford
Steamship Company.
He is survived by his
wife Jessie; two children,
Mrs. John (Eileen)
Griffiths of Vancouver.
and Douglas of Gold
River, British Columbia;
one brother, Rod Bogie of
Goderich; and five
grandchildren.
The Reverend G.L.
Royal officiated at a
graveside service in
Colborne Cemetery on
Thursday, July 19 at 11
a.m.
Interment was in
Colborne Cemetery.
