The Ladies
Invitational, Wednesday,
July 18, was an
unqualified success, with
a fair entry, terrific
weather and a super
meal.
A nine hole course can't
support a very large field
and the 54 Jady entrants
found- that number to be
just about right, with no
waiting and no one
breathing down your
neck.
Ev Evers of Kincardine
was the winner of the day
with a low gross of 84.
M.aitland's own Joan
McDougall was low net
for the'fie.ld with a net
score of 63. Joan played
her best -game ever, and -
she certainly picked the
right time to do it.
Other Maitland win-
ners, in order, are as
follows: 1st flighty -
Maxine Martin, Jean
Knight, Shelagh 'Sully,

the course in excellent
shape and Paul Johnson •
and his crew were in-
valuable as starters and
scorers: Thanks to the
help of many - sports
captain, social convenor,
ladies taking entries,
looking after morning
refreshments, lunch and
purchase of prizes - we
had a great day!
