The Huron County Pioneer Museum
museumobile was a popular attraction at the
Goderich Festival of the Arts last weekend,
especially for young people. The three-day
festival, featuring arts, crafts and numerous
other exhibits, attracted hundreds of visitors.

workshop at the
Playhouse. The program
offers a chance for
youngsters . to. take
classes in voice,
movement, and to . ex-
perience for themselves
the hard work that goes
into producing
professional theatre.
The children who come
from as far away as
Goderich used their new
"skills when they took part
in • the. ,production of
"Treasure Island",
which was at the
Playhouse on Saturday,
July 14 at 11:00 a.m. The
performance was open to
the public.

Area children will be
writing, directing, acting
in and producing their
own play this summer.
The Children's Theatre
Workshop of the Blyth
Summer Festival will be
performing in the parks
and libraries of Huron
County throughout the
summer.
The workshop is
composed of children
from the age of four to
fourteen. .Under the
direction of two theatre
students,• Janet Anderson
and Barbara Huget, the
children have been
learning the techniques of
creal;ive drama - in -two
three -w-•,,,+ sessions. AL

session, e children will
put 'r knowledge into
prca'-tice in a production
that is wholly created by
children.
