Vacation farms are
located throughout the
province from the Sault

range from large beef

have separate facilities
for guests," says Miss

others provide the luxury

fruits, vegetables, and
meat produced on the

"An Ontario farm
vacation is a good op-

rural roots of Ontario,"
says Miss van Son.
"Many of the vacation
farms are original

For the farm family,
hosting a vacation farm

crew in Huron and Perth
,counties.
Farmers can hire a
crew for almost any job.
They pay the crew
members minimum wage
and receive a $15 ,a da.y
rebate at the end of the
job.
Lawrence Van-
derHeuval, RR2
Goderich; has one drew
working this week putting
up a grain bin on his
farm.
The crew, based in
Exeter, is made up of
four. girl's and one boy.
According to , foreman
Carol Anne VanWieren,
"We've picked stones,
picked weeds, baled hay,
painted fences,
whitewashed a barn, and
now we're putting up a
grain bin."'
N.anderHeuvel said he
had hoped the work
wouldn't be too heavy for
the girls but that it was
working out fine so far.
Don't wait -
sign up now
If you have heard of
Agricrew and have put
off calling about the
bookings, don't wait. The
crews are booking up
fast. Some crews have
only a few days left.
Each area could have
cancellations, so do not
hesitate to call if you are
interested in hiring a
crew.
Farmers are generally
pleased with the 'crew's
work and a variety of jobs
are being completed.
Fences gleam with a new
coat of paint, crops show
with the stones picked
and weeds pulled, yards
beam with the fence lines
cleaned up and animals
smile in a clean pen.
