Sp�rts Ziebart moves up in standings with two league victories BY DAVE SYKES Ziebart moved third position in the Maitland Division standings winning two league games last week. They downed Gord Sports 4-1 last Wednesday and defeated Green and Parent 7-3, Sunday. The improving Ziebart squad has, racked up fear straight victories and improved their record to seven wins against six losses and a tie Tile victories moved them into third place, one point Ball hockey has become a popular suanmer sport in Goderich since' the program was introduced by the Goderich Recreation Department in May. Ziebart tied the game in their half of the third as Langlois singled, ad- vanced on an error and scored on Arnie Parker's single. Ziebart put the game away with the three -run outburst in the fourth inning. Rick Duckworth led off the inning with a , single but . Courtney 'appeared to be out of trouble getting the next two batters.. Cam MacDonald nailed a two - out single to set the stage for Langlois' three -run blast. Langlois also pitched a fine ball . game limiting Gords to just three hits and striking out three batters. They put two of A rough week for Graham It was a rough week for _Graham Electric. Ironically, McGees scored the tying and winning runs in the eighth without a hit. With one out, Deb Shewfelt was hit by a pitch. Ziebart chalked up their seventh win of the season Sunday with a 7-3 victory over Green and parent. Ziebart managed only five hits in the game but took advantage of seven walks and two errors. MacDonald and Wayne Doak led Ziebart of- fensively with two hits apiece. Doak singled in the third inning and scored a run and nailed a double in the seventh to drive in two runs. MacDonald tripled in the second inning to drive. in a run and his third inning single drove in two more runs. Parker had the other Ziebart hit, a',. fourth inning double. Dan Duncan had two hits for Green and Parent and Brian McLean added a double;and Jim Martin a triple. Ziebart returns to action Sunday in a 5.30 p.m. contest against McGee Pontiacs at Agriculture Park.
