Canada Day observed at Church

Cianada Day was `observed
on Sunday, July 1st at St.
Joseph's Church. The theme
at the 10,.30 Mass was to pray
especially for the return to
the deep. faith .that made
Canada the great country it
is. Following the Mass, a
procession formed to the
adjoining cemetery to honour
the faith of our founders. The
various groups and individ-
uals placed wreaths and
baskets of flowers at the
cross and at their family
graves. Prayers and singing
of hymns and 0 Canada
followed.
Wednesday, June 27, 1979
was Graduation Day for -St.
Joseph's School. Mass was
celetsrated at 7.00 p.m. by
Father Dentinger, with Den-
ise Dalton as organist.
The Graduates are: Brent

Carl Courtney, Peter Doher-
ty, Carol Foran, Louis For-

at 8.00 p:m., with Father

ustine giving the after dinner
thanks and Cathy Chisholm
thanking the CWL ladies and
the servers, which included
1978 graduates.
Mr. Zyluk introduced the
guests at the head table.

Tuesday was Awards Day
at the school for the Grades
K -Seven. Report cards were
presented and Special Aw-
ards. Parents were present
for the occasion.
The kingsbridge .. School
Bus Patrollers were treated
to a day in Toronto on
Tuesday, hoe 25. They -tour-
ed Ontario Place and the
C.N. Tower and in the even-
ing attended the Blue Jay-
New York Yankee ball game
at Exhibition Stadium. The
Patrollers were Marian
Knoop, Teresa VanRooy,
Linda ..Sinnett, Cathy Chis-
holm, Carol Foran, Heather
Ann Stapleton, Diane- Van-
Osch and Denise Connelly.
Chaperones were Mrs. Nan-
cy Stapleton- and Mrs. Con-
nie Connelly.
We are glad to report that
Peter Doherty is progressing.
