had been completed. By 11 o'clock the
second opinion had been given and by
12 o'clock, our Patient was heading for
surgery. -
This yvps the first dine anyone from
our family had undergone surgery "at
home". Previously when such,
emergencies orome, our patients were
sent off toLondon..... sometimes utthe

This time vmm different. This time it
was -horn-e Care from start to finish, and

The first few days after surgery can

There was the nurse who was

„in Gederich finding fault with the
hospital for --a variety of reasons.
Frankly, I have never been_quite able
to relate to What they were telling me.
And I think much of it has to,clo with an
attitude.
But in relation to the whole matter,
we were . quite satisfitt-tesikh. the

would say the are at AM&G favorably with some of the bigger
hospitals in the area. We',ye had
patients -in those institutions too, and
there is much left to be desired there.
. I suppose sitting in on hospital board
meetings makes me_ afore keenly
aware of the problems at AM&G•and
the severe hancliCap some departments
work under every day of the year.
Maybe that's what. Makes 'me ,more
tolerant of our local hospital than.some.
others. •
I can only Offer highest praise to the
medical staff and tile support staff at
'ATV1&G. cansonly say that in my books
our local hespital... stands head and
shoulders Over many Rther... similar
institutions of healing havevisited.
