A pumper sits inside in case it is ever needed. The bell on top of the fire hall originally was on John Ferguson's blacksmith shop, and later on Edgar Lawson's stable. For many years, it was rung at meal time. Before 1948 there were three underground tanks in the Village, each holding about 350 barrels of water.
