(.9i -respondent ;!.;-oti T t; O.M.B. HEARING Was the Ontario Municipal Board hearing held in Colborne Town- ship Hall last Tuesday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 20 by the cottagers from Bogie's , Beach a forerunner to more of the same or not? At an O.M.B. hearing last week in Colborne Township Hall the ` cot- tagers from Bogie's Beach and the Huron County Federation of Agriculture viewed their concerns about taking land out of production (approximately 20.1 acres) and the ensuing erosion of the lake bank and the socio -ecological problems which occur when subdivisions are allowed on top of the bank. The proposed "seasonal'' 19 -unit subdivision is - a developinent which Mr. Pat Whalen, RR 3 Goderich, owner of the land wishes to make. •The hearing, which was interesting and in- formative, made quite clear some of the questions that were in the minds of the public. Apparently, if you aren't satisfied with the way things are planned, make your wishes known without delay, it may not do any good but you will have voiced your opinion and it will be on record. The final decision of this hearing rests with the O.M.B. who decided to reserve their decision until later. MAN RECEIVES WAR MEDALS World.
